Our Santa Fe Tradition
Santa Fe is one of our favorite destinations, and we visit every year to soak in its unique charm. San Miguel Chapel has become a personal landmark for us, a place we return to on every trip. There is something about standing in front of those ancient adobe walls, under that big New Mexico sky, that makes everything else feel small.
This illustration captures that quiet, grounding feeling. Every hand-signed edition carries the artist Michael's signature from our Fort Worth studio, connecting each print to the annual tradition that inspired it.
Each hand-signed print is produced one at a time in our Fort Worth studio using fade-resistant pigment inks on Crane's Lettra® 110 lb Cover, a 297 GSM 100% cotton paper in Fluorescent White. A genuine giclée print, signed by the artist.
Why Choose the Hand-Signed Edition
The hand-signed edition is exclusive to moddayart.com. You will not find it on Amazon or any other retailer. Each print is personally signed by the artist, making it a more meaningful piece for your collection or as a gift.
If you prefer the 11x14 size, our standard Santa Fe San Miguel Chapel print is available in both 8x10 and 11x14.
About San Miguel Chapel
San Miguel Chapel in Santa Fe, New Mexico dates back to around 1610, making it one of the oldest church structures in the United States. Its thick adobe walls, simple bell tower, and weathered wooden doors have stood for over four centuries.
Santa Fe itself is the oldest state capital in the US, renowned for its adobe architecture, world-class art galleries, and vibrant culture. It is a place we return to every year and never tire of.
A Southwestern Gift
A hand-signed art print makes a more personal and meaningful gift than a standard print. This edition is a popular choice for anyone who loves Santa Fe, the American Southwest, or adobe architecture.
The artist's signature and the personal connection to Santa Fe make it especially meaningful for anyone who has visited and fallen in love with this city, or who dreams of going.
Printed on Crane's Lettra®
Crane has been making paper in America for more than two hundred years, and Lettra is the sheet their reputation rests on. It is 100% cotton, with no wood pulp at all, and it has a soft, slightly toothy surface that most printing papers simply do not have. Pigment ink settles into the fibers rather than sitting on top, which is why the color reads with depth from across the room.
Printers reach for Lettra when a piece has to feel like something: letterpress invitations, engraved announcements, foil and embossing work. We use it because a hand-drawn illustration deserves a surface that feels handmade too.
Ours is 110 lb Cover in Fluorescent White, 297 GSM. Substantial enough to hold its own in a frame, and bright enough to let the color do its job.
